Peggy’s Peaches was painted on commission, in memory of my client’s wife. They spent many happy hours together canning locally grown peaches, and enjoyed them year-round. My client had seen Rustic Pickles II at the county fair, and commissioned a copy of that. Afterward, he asked me to paint Peggy’s Peaches from a couple photographs and using the same sensibilities and palette of colors as Rustic Pickles II. Peggy’s Peaches won a First In Category award at the 2025 Clearwater County Fair in Orofino, Idaho.
